Huawei Appears at the 2023 China Fiber Optic Sensing Conference to Assist Industry Applications

Recently, the 2023 China Fiber Optic Sensing Conference successfully concluded in Hefei, Anhui. The conference showcased the latest achievements in the development of China's fiber optic sensing technology, promoting the overall research progress and industrialization process of China's fiber optic sensing technology.


During this conference, Huawei was invited to participate in the special seminar on "Application of Fiber Optic Sensing in the Field of Oil and Gas Resources", deliver a speech on "AI Big Model Assists Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing Engineering Application", and participate in the review meeting of "White Paper on Fiber Optic Sensing Technology in the Oil and Gas Long Distance Pipeline Industry". The first draft of the white paper was improved, which attracted widespread attention in the industry.


It is reported that in September 2019, Huawei released its first fiber optic sensing product OptiXsense EF3000, which has been commercially and jointly tested by Shandong Jihua Gas Company and multiple oil and gas enterprises, effectively ensuring the safe operation of pipelines; In June 2022, Huawei released a solution for optical and visual perimeter protection, integrating fiber optic sensing and intelligent vision technology to build a multi-dimensional perception network system, and building a "zero false alarm, low false alarm, all-weather, and full coverage" protection and detection capability for various complex perimeter scenarios.


Huawei has also delved into the field of optical/optoelectronic sensors, and its subsidiary, Hubble Capital, has invested in multiple lasers and related enterprises. Laser is the core component of light source for optical/optoelectronic sensors such as fiber optic sensors and lidars.

The products are widely used in fiber to home, data centers and cloud computing, 5G mobile communication networks, communication backbone networks, and industry. Juguang Technology: Mainly engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of high-power semiconductor laser components and laser optical components in the upstream of the laser industry, with core capabilities for automotive applications (LiDAR) at the vehicle level. It is expanding its core capabilities for innovative automotive applications such as LiDAR and DMS. Received investment from Huawei Hubble in September 2020.


Changguang Huaxin: Changguang Huaxin is also a company that develops VCSEL, and has launched three major categories of products: distance sensors, structured light (SL), and time of flight (ToF). The standard product wavelengths include 808 nm, 850 nm, 940 nm, and so on. It is one of the few companies in the world that develops and mass-produces high-power semiconductor laser chips.
